Music for picture
Sync
Being easy to clear
Supervisors choose music they can license quickly. We make sure your masters and publishing are documented, splits are agreed, instrumentals and stems exist, and metadata is clean, so a yes can become a licence in days rather than weeks.
Pitching
We build relationships with music supervisors, publishers and sync agencies, and put the right tracks in front of them for the right briefs rather than sending everything to everyone.
Negotiating the licence
Fee, media, territory, term and credit, for both the master and the publishing side. We make sure the use is described precisely and that nobody quietly extends it later.
After the placement
Cue sheets filed so performance royalties follow the broadcast, and the moment used: the release, the press and the shows that follow a good placement.

Brand partnerships
Chosen for fit
Choosing
A partnership should look like something the artist would have done anyway. We turn down more than we accept, and we never let a short term fee cost long term credibility.
Pricing
We price on the value to the brand: reach, audience, exclusivity and how long they can use the work, not just the hours of the day itself.
Papering
Deliverables, usage, territory, term, exclusivity, approvals and payment dates written down before anything is filmed, and nothing left to be agreed later.
Questions
About sync and brand
What is sync licensing?
Sync, short for synchronisation, is licensing music to be used with moving pictures: film, television, adverts, trailers, games and online video. Two licences are usually needed, one for the recording (the master) and one for the song (the publishing). Each rights holder is paid a fee, and the use then earns performance royalties when it is broadcast.
How do artists get sync placements?
Through music supervisors, publishers and sync agencies who pitch music for specific briefs. It helps to have music that is easy to clear, meaning the artist or a single party controls both the master and the publishing, with instrumental versions and clean metadata ready to send.
What should a brand partnership contract cover?
What the artist delivers, where and for how long the brand can use it, in which territories, whether there is exclusivity against competitors, the fee and when it is paid, approvals over how the artist is presented, and what happens if either side wants out. We negotiate all of it and do not let usage terms run open-ended.
Do you take commission on sync and brand deals?
Yes, at the same 20 per cent as other income, and only on deals that were contracted while we manage you. The full terms are on How we work.
